Ekiti Finance Commissioner Leads Discussions on Sustainable Finance, Climate Transition

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Akin Oyebode, is leading discussions at the retreat of the Forum of State Commissioners for Finance in Nigeria, themed Sustainable Finance, Climate and Energy Transitions.

The retreat brings together Commissioners for Finance and other key sub-national stakeholders to strengthen capacity across critical sectors of the economy and deliberate on national and global issues shaping the economic outlook of states.

The engagement provides a platform for finance commissioners to explore innovative approaches to sustainable financing, climate action and energy transition, while examining strategies capable of supporting long-term economic growth and resilience at the sub-national level.

Mr Oyebode’s participation underscores the Biodun Oyebanji administration’s commitment to sound fiscal governance, sustainable development and strategic collaboration in developing solutions to emerging economic and environmental challenges.

The discussions are expected to contribute to stronger policy coordination and the development of sustainable financing frameworks that can support inclusive growth and improve the resilience of state economies.
