The attention of the Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi Campaign Organisation has been drawn to a purported report circulating in some quarters claiming that Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Osun West, has declared support for Governor Ademola Adeleke and stated that his love for the Accord Party remains unwavering.
We wish to state categorically that the report is false, misleading, and does not represent the position of Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi.
Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi has not made any declaration of support for Governor Ademola Adeleke, nor has he authorised anyone to make such a statement on his behalf.
He remains firmly committed to his political aspirations under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to the emergence of our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), as the elected Governor of Osun State.
We therefore urge members of the public, supporters, party members, journalists, and other stakeholders to disregard the said report and refrain from further circulating what is clearly a misleading piece of information.
Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi remains focused on his political engagements and the mobilisation of voters for the August 15th gubernatorial election.
We also appeal to members of the public and the media to always verify the source of political statements before publishing or sharing them.
